A&R Intern

Miami, FL · Remote Considered for Right CandidatePart-Time or Full-Time · Unpaid with Academic Credit or Paid Stipend $15/hrSummer 2026 · Fall 2026 · Spring 2027 (Rolling Applications)

About SABOR Records

SABOR Records is a Miami-based independent label, distributor, and publisher built for Afro Latino and Latino artists. We are 38 people building something that has never existed before in this cultural lane. Our internship program is not about getting coffee. It is about learning how the music business actually works from the inside of a company that is building it differently.

The Role

This internship is for someone who is already deeply inside Afro Latino or Latino music culture and wants to turn that passion into a career. You will work directly alongside our A&R Coordinator and senior A&R leadership, learning how to identify emerging talent, evaluate streaming data, and build the case for signing an artist before the world catches up.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor TikTok, Instagram, Spotify, SoundCloud, and Audiomack daily for emerging Afro Latino and Latino artists showing early traction signals
  • Research and compile weekly A&R reports on artists of interest — streaming data, social growth, release history, management status, and cultural context
  • Listen to and evaluate demo submissions in the SABOR intake pipeline and write brief evaluations for A&R coordinator review
  • Assist with coordinating artist meetings, studio visits, and showcase attendance
  • Maintain and update the A&R database and prospect list in our project management system
  • Attend SABOR showcases, events, and industry panels as a representative of the label
  • Research comparable artists, deal structures, and market trends to support signing decisions

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program in music business, business, marketing, communications, or a related field — or recently graduated
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Personal knowledge of and genuine love for at least two Afro Latino or Latino music genres
  • Familiarity with Spotify for Artists, Chartmetric, or similar analytics tools a plus
  • Excellent written communication — you can write a clear, specific one-paragraph case for an artist
  • Available minimum 20 hours per week

What You’ll Learn

How to identify a breaking artist before they break. How to read streaming data and understand what it means. How deals get structured. How the A&R process works from first listen through signed contract. What questions to ask a manager. What questions to ask an artist. What the difference is between an artist who has a moment and an artist who has a career.

What We Offer

  • $15/hour stipend or academic credit depending on school requirements
  • Direct mentorship from SABOR A&R staff
  • Access to SABOR sessions, shows, and events
  • Letter of recommendation upon successful completion
  • Consideration for full-time A&R Coordinator role upon graduation

Social Media & Content Intern

Miami, FL · Hybrid ConsideredPart-Time or Full-Time · Paid Stipend $15/hrSummer 2026 · Fall 2026 · Spring 2027 (Rolling Applications)

About SABOR Records

SABOR Records is a Miami-based independent label built for Afro Latino and Latino artists. Our roster includes artists generating millions of streams across reggaeton, dembow, Afro-Cuban soul, Latin trap, and more. Our social media should be as alive as the music. We are looking for an intern who makes things people stop scrolling for.

The Role

This is the entry point into our marketing and content team. You will work directly with our Content Creator and Marketing Manager, learning how a record label uses social media to build artist careers — not just post content but drive streams, grow audiences, and make cultural moments. This role is for someone who genuinely lives on TikTok and Instagram and has a perspective on what works.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in creating daily content for SABOR Records’ Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X accounts
  • Shoot behind-the-scenes content at studio sessions, label events, and shows in the Miami area
  • Research trending sounds, formats, and creators in the Latin and Afro Latino TikTok and Instagram Reels space daily
  • Help identify and reach out to TikTok and Instagram creators for organic seeding campaigns around new releases
  • Draft captions and copy for social posts in both English and Spanish
  • Monitor comments, DMs, and community interactions across all SABOR social accounts
  • Compile weekly social analytics reports tracking follower growth, reach, engagement, and content performance
  • Assist with content calendar management and scheduling using Later, Hootsuite, or equivalent tools

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated — communications, marketing, media, music business, or related field
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • An active personal TikTok or Instagram presence — not required to be large but required to be intentional
  • Basic video editing skills in CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut
  • Personal knowledge of and genuine enthusiasm for Afro Latino and Latino music culture
  • Available minimum 20 hours per week
  • Based in Miami or willing to be in Miami regularly for sessions and events

What You’ll Learn

How a record label uses social media as a release tool not just a brand tool. How TikTok sound campaigns actually work. How to brief and manage creator relationships. How to write copy that sounds like a human who loves music and not a press release. How streaming data and social data connect. How to build a content calendar around a release timeline.

What We Offer

  • $15/hour stipend
  • Direct mentorship from SABOR content and marketing staff
  • Access to studio sessions, shows, and events
  • Hands-on experience creating content for a real label with a real audience
  • Letter of recommendation upon successful completion
  • Consideration for full-time Content Creator or Marketing role upon graduation

How to Apply

Email careers@saborrecords.com with subject line Social Media Intern — [Your School]. Include your resume, links to three pieces of content you have made that you are proud of, and tell us which SABOR artist you would make a TikTok for first and what you would do.

Label Operations & Publishing Intern

Miami, FL · Hybrid ConsideredPart-Time or Full-Time · Paid Stipend $15/hrSummer 2026 · Fall 2026 · Spring 2027 (Rolling Applications)

About SABOR Records

SABOR Records is a Miami-based independent label, distributor, and publisher. Our publishing arm recovered over two million dollars in previously uncollected royalties for artists in our first year of operation. Our label operations team keeps 12 artists across 18 countries moving simultaneously without dropping a single release. We are looking for an intern who wants to understand how the business of music actually works — not the glamorous side, the real side, the side that determines whether artists get paid.

The Role

This is the most educational internship we offer and the least glamorous. If you want to understand music publishing, royalty collection, release logistics, and label administration from the inside — this is the internship. You will work alongside our Publishing Administrator and Label Manager learning the operational infrastructure that makes everything else possible. The people who do this work well are the most valuable people in any music company. Almost no one teaches it properly. We will.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with ISRC and ISWC code registration for new releases
  • Help maintain and audit the SABOR composition and sound recording metadata database
  • Research unclaimed royalties in the MLC unmatched works database and prepare reports for the publishing administrator
  • Assist with preparing monthly royalty statements and cross-referencing platform data
  • Support the label manager with release tracking — updating project timelines, following up on delivery requirements, and maintaining the release calendar
  • Help onboard new artists by collecting metadata, social handles, PRO registration information, and delivery materials
  • Research collection society registration requirements in international markets
  • Assist with contract filing, document organization, and administrative support for label operations

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in music business, business, law, accounting, or a related field — or recently graduated
  • Extreme attention to detail — you are the person who catches the mistake everyone else missed
  • Comfort working in spreadsheets and databases
  • Fluent in English, Spanish a significant plus
  • Genuine curiosity about how the music business works behind the scenes
  • Available minimum 20 hours per week

What You’ll Learn

What a mechanical royalty is and how it gets collected in seventeen different countries. What the MLC does and why it matters. How a release goes from an audio file on a hard drive to being on Spotify in 180 countries. What metadata actually is and why wrong metadata costs artists money. How a royalty statement gets built. What an IPI number is. How an advance recoupment works. Everything the music industry does not teach artists and does not advertise to interns.

What We Offer

  • $15/hour stipend
  • Direct mentorship from SABOR publishing and operations staff
  • An understanding of music business mechanics that most people in the industry spend years trying to figure out
  • Letter of recommendation upon successful completion
  • Consideration for full-time Publishing Administrator or Label Manager role upon graduation

How to Apply

Email careers@saborrecords.com with subject line Operations & Publishing Intern — [Your School]. Include your resume, your graduation date, and one sentence answering this question: what is the MLC and why does it exist.
